James Sikes, M.D.
James N. Sikes, M.D., a board certified orthopaedic surgeon, joined Southern Bone and Joint Specialists in 2002. He was previously in private practice in Brookhaven. A Mobile native, Dr. Sikes began to love Mississippi when he was a University of Mississippi baseball scholarship athlete. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine and then received his orthopaedic surgical training from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Dr. Sikes is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Sports Medicine and the Mississippi Orthopaedic Society. He has participated in numerous symposiums for the advancement of fracture care. He was an instructor for the AO/ASIF Fracture Management Foundation. He has participated in additional training in sports medicine in Jackson, WY.
Dr. Sikes is also certified in MAKOplasty, partial knee resurfacing procedure using the RIO Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System.
